An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the School of Business and Law as a Governance Officer.

This is a pivotal role within our school, and as the post holder you should possess exceptional organisational and team-working skills and have experience of working to deadlines and communicating with people at all levels.

You will carry out a wide range of administrative activities, requiring specific knowledge of regulatory policy and frameworks, to prepare and support Schools in meeting the requirements of internal and external regulatory frameworks, Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies (PSRBs), accrediting organisations and policies (including those associated with the delivery of apprenticeships). The role holder plays a key role in identifying risks and ensuring compliance, providing support to the School Operations Manager and Administration Team Leader. 

 In order to be successful in this post, you should have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to raise compliance issues confidently 
  • An ability to communicate information (including statistical data) in a detailed and accurate way orally and in writing, as suitable to the situation
  • Experience of devising and implementing systems and procedures  
  • Experience of setting and meeting objectives on own initiative

This is a full time contract fixed term for 18 months to fit with a period of the current postholder’s secondment to another post.
