Lead the development and execution of legislative strategies with Congress, focusing on the Department of Defense (DoD) and civilian agencies. Manage a range of programs and issues, developing and maintaining key relationships with Members of Congress and their staff to position the company for future business opportunities. Consult and meet regularly with business leadership to collaborate on priorities, provide advice and recommendations on how the Government Relations function can assist with their objectives, and foster an environment that encourages open communication and collaboration. Understand Congressional priorities and concerns and effectively communicate these to company leaders. Understand, similarly, company priorities and concerns and effectively communicate these to the appropriate leaders in the Legislative Branch. Provide strategic input to the Multi-Year Planning (MYP) process related to business development strategy, programs, and budget.
Basic Qualifications:
12+ years of experience with public policy and with leading people, defining strategy, establishing client relationships, and delivering innovative solutions
Experience in defense and national security, including working with the DoD and other defense-related agencies
Experience developing and executing legislative strategies
Experience in building and maintaining relationships with Members of Congress and their staff
Knowledge of Congressional priorities, processes, and concerns
Ability to comprehend technology and recognize and assess the impact of related government policies
Ability to provide strategic input to business development strategies and budget planning
Bachelor’s degree

Ability to display sound judgment, decision-making skills, and political insight with the highest ethical standards
Ability to effectively convey complex information to both internal and external stakeholders
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $158,800.00 to $295,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
