Self-directed learning is actively supported.As a Graduate Antenna Engineer you will:

  • Use advanced super-computing facilities to develop 3D electromagnetic (EM) modelling skills, designing cutting-edge antennas at frequencies up to 40GHz
  • Contribute to the design of high-performance electronic warfare (EW) systems, ensuring they meet stringent system requirements
  • Evaluate and test your designs in state-of-the-art anechoic chambers and laboratories, ensuring reliability in harsh environments for decades of use
  • Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of antenna solutions into larger system architectures
  • Contribute to technical reviews

Your role may even take you across the UK or abroad for technical reviews.Key Responsibility Areas

  • Design, model, and develop innovative antenna solutions for a variety of platforms, including fast jets, UAVs, naval, and land systems
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure antenna designs meet system requirements and performance standards
  • Test and evaluate antenna performance in simulated environments, including anechoic chambers and real-world conditions
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of antenna designs for reliability in extreme conditions, ensuring long-term functionality
  • Document and present technical findings and design solutions to stakeholders, both internally and externally

What we need from you:We are looking for highly motivated graduates who are passionate about problem-solving and innovation in antenna technology.

  • Education: Minimum of a 2:2 Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s degree, or higher degree (MSc or PhD) in Electronic Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Skills and Interests: A strong interest in electromagnetics, RF, or antenna design. Familiarity with EM modelling software and practical laboratory skills is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
  • Problem-solving and collaboration: Strong problem-solving abilities, with excellent communication skills and a desire to work collaboratively in a team. A proactive approach to learning new technologies is crucial
