Job Description:Job Description:At Leonardo we have an opportunity for graduates to join the Radar and Advanced Targeting line of business as Mechanical Engineers working in either our design or analysis teams.Your role as a Leonardo Graduate Mechanical Engineer will be to support the design and development of our world leading radar and electro-optic products under the guidance of experienced Mechanical Engineers. Our newly reconfigured graduate scheme will enable you to learn how to use state-of-the-art methods, technology and tools to explore all aspects of the product lifecycle, including stress and thermal analysis, requirements analysis, design, implementation, test, build and product support. You will have the opportunity to rotate through different projects and phases of the product lifecycle in order to accelerate your competency development. You will interface with customers (internal and external) on many factors within the design and work closely with Engineers from other disciplines as well as liaising with Project Managers and Procurement on helping ensure schedule and cost are met.Our 18 month Graduate ProgrammeJoining the Leonardo Graduate Scheme is the opportunity to be part of the next generation of our business. In either of these roles, you will be asked to learn the skills required to become a professional Mechanical design or analysis Engineer, while exploring new techniques and sharing any new best practices amongst your team. Throughout this development, you will be working to timescales, contributing across a multi-disciplined team and undertaking day-to-day engineering activities with some guidance and support. Finally, you will be expected understand why decisions are made in a technical project and their relationship to project success criteria.What we need from you:
