Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting children with literacy and numeracy development, including phonics, reading, and writing skills
  • Assisting in the delivery of lesson plans and providing additional help to students who need extra support
  • Helping students build their confidence and social skills, both in and outside the classroom
  • Leading small group activities or 1:1 support sessions
  • Promoting creativity and engagement in subjects like maths, science, and arts
  • Supporting the classroom teacher with behaviour management strategies
  • Building positive relationships with students and providing emotional support when needed
  • Encouraging a love of learning and fostering a growth mindset in students
  • Contributing to a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Graduate Primary Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

  • A 2:1 degree or higher in any academic discipline (education or child development related fields are a plus)
  • A genuine passion for working with primary-aged children and helping them thrive academically and personally
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage children and explain ideas in a clear and friendly manner
  • Previous experience working with children is desirable, but not essential
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative in the classroom
  • An interest in pursuing a career in education or teaching support
