This Helmsley Charitable Trust funded post is available from 3 June 2024 to 31 August 2025. The successful applicant will be isolating and characterising beta-cell-reactive T cell receptors to identify those with potential to be used for therapeutic application in beta cell disorders.The post will include:
About youThe successful applicant will be able to present information on research progress and outcomes, communicate complex information, orally, in writing and electronically and prepare proposals and applications to external bodies.Applicants for the Postdoctoral Research Associate role will possess a relevant PhD (or nearing completion) or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes. Applicants will be able to culture human cell lines, generate lentiviral products and employ standard immunological assay (including flow cytometry); and have a good understanding of immunology and/or beta cell disorders.Applicants for the Graduate Research Assistant role will be educated to first degree level or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study and be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes.
