Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant – Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students in STEM subjects, helping them with areas such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, and computer science
- Assist teachers in the planning and delivery of engaging STEM lessons and activities
- Support students in developing practical and theoretical skills in STEM subjects, enhancing their problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Use creative resources and technology to make STEM learning exciting and accessible
- Encourage students to take an active interest in STEM by sharing your enthusiasm and passion for the subjects
- Track and monitor student progress, providing feedback and additional support where needed
- Foster a collaborative learning environment that encourages students to work together and learn from one another
Graduate STEM Teaching Assistant – Key Requirements:
- A 2:1 degree or higher in a STEM-related field (e.g., Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or similar)
- A genuine passion for STEM education and supporting students in their academic growth
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging way
- Previous experience in tutoring, mentoring, or supporting students is desirable but not essential
- An interest in pursuing a career in teaching, educational support, or STEM-related fields
- A proactive, patient, and adaptable approach to working with a variety of learning styles
- A desire to inspire students and help them reach their full potential in STEM subjects
