We are seeking an individual with the drive and enthusiasm to spearhead bids that achieve
ambitious outcomes across the Peak District National Park Authority whilst ensuring a
coordinated approach for seeking funding is maintained to maximise opportunities.

About the role

The post holder will

  • advise on any changes/opportunities to the external funding landscape
  • develop and write high quality bids/proposals
  • ensure bids/proposals meet the prescribed specifications in order to successfully secure
    significant funding opportunities
  • coordinate grant opportunities across the organisation
  • advise and support teams to develop their own bids for grants
  • advise teams on ensuring all grant conditions are met including financial reporting and
    monitoring.

The role provides the opportunity for an individual to contribute to the future of the UK’s
first National Park. Working with a range of teams to deliver a wide variety of projects to
protect and enhance landscape, heritage and communities.

We actively encourage applications from those whose bid writing/funding experience may not be
from within the land/nature sector.

About you

We are looking for someone with

  • a sound understanding and experience of developing bids, writing applications, relationship
    management and grant/project monitoring
  • good organisation and communication skills
  • practical and technical experience in a range of funding areas
  • the ability to lead projects and manage their own workload and ways of working
  • experience in income generation from the non-profit or for-profit sector
