Graphic Designer in Chula Vista, California

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Graphic Designer in Chula Vista, California. The job function is within the Non-Profit industry and the successful candidate will be expected to assist and support in all aspects of interior and exterior design for print and digital platforms.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the creation and design of various materials for print and digital collateral

• Ensuring projects are completed with high quality and on schedule

• Prioritizing and managing multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions

• Working with a wide range of media and using graphic design software

• Thinking creatively and developing new design concepts, graphics, and layouts

• Cooperating with the team to match visual design intent

• Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary

• Keeping up-to-date with industry-leading software and technologies

• Demonstrating graphic design skills with a strong portfolio

• Using the Adobe Creative Suite and MS 365 efficiently and effectively

• Maintaining proficiency in Wordpress. Requirements • Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts or a related field

• Proven experience in graphic design, preferably within the non-profit sector

• Proficiency with design software, particularly Adobe Creative Cloud

• Demonstrable portfolio of completed design projects

• Strong ability to translate requirements into design

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

• Creative thinking with keen attention to detail

• Knowledge of industry current trends in graphic design

• Familiarity with design techniques and tools

• Understanding of visual elements (layout, type and fonts)
