The pre-join degree is a professional, academic, knowledge based degree with the curriculum designed to cover all aspects of the police constable role and help you meet that challenge.Join and help us be the best at understanding and responding to our communities’ needs.To be eligible to apply to Gwent Police via this route applicants must be in the final year of their Professional Policing Practice Degree at the time of application and achieve their degree prior to appointment or have previously completed this qualification within the last 5 years. Successful applicants will then have a shorter on-the-job training programme.Once you join Gwent Police you will commence a two year probationary period during which you will undertake further practice based learning and assessments in order to demonstrate your competence for the role.Think you’ve got what it takes?
