Hardware Development Lead

About This RoleThe incumbent of this position must possess skills that allow him to obtain consensus, both internally and externally, as well as a demonstrated ability to think strategically in a rapidly changing environment. This role requires that the incumbent possess excellent technical and commercial knowledge, strong interpersonal skills and an ability to identify industry trends regarding technologies.In a development environment made up of multidisciplinary teams responsible for the evolution and maintenance of civil and military aviation products and support to the technical management of the department, you will be called upon to manage the technical aspect of the projects.Responsibilities:Assume responsibility for the hardware development budget.Assume responsibility for the hardware development schedule.Be responsible for the overall execution of projects in collaboration with the technical product managers and the technical leaders of engineering.Oversee the project’s progress, milestones and control points, and monitor them internally and with external department collaborators.Influence and collaborate with resource managers to prioritize execution according to the needs of the business units.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.Three to five years of relevant experience.Several years of experience in a organization of manufacturing operations, an asset.Dynamic team player with a good sense of initiative. Results-oriented attitude and good team spirit.Strong communication skills (written and oral).
