The Head of Business Prioritization and Portfolio Management is a senior leadership role responsible for prioritization strategic initiatives dependent on Enterprise Operational Services (EOS) business units and ensures that strategic objectives are met through effective execution through transparent prioritization. Additionally, it focuses on fostering cross-functional collaboration, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring adherence to governance standards. This leader plays a crucial role in aligning initiatives with the bank’s strategic goals and promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage alignment between Truist enterprise strategic objectives and EOS initiative execution, ensuring a cohesive approach to delivering organizational goals.

  2. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to refine and optimize governance structures that support streamlined execution and resource allocation.

  3. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership by providing insights into initiative progress, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

  4. Lead the integration of strategy, insights, reporting, and governance across all Enterprise Operational Services (EOS) business units.

  5. Evaluate business cases to ensure investments align with organizational goals and deliver measurable value.

  6. Monitor performance metrics to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

  7. Coordinate cross-functional priorities and strategic roadmaps development to align with organizational goals.

  8. Foster high stakeholder satisfaction through effective communication and engagement strategies.

  9. Deliver advanced analytics and operational insights using AI and data tools to deliver insights that will help improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  10. Prioritize transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and client experiences.

  11. Ensure adherence to governance standards and compliance requirements across all initiatives.

  12. Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams, fostering professional growth and a commitment to excellence.

  13. Develop standards of performance to ensure the team’s skill sets evolve with emerging industry demands and promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.

  14. Responsible for effective development of a team that operates consistent with Truist’s organizational values.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent education and related experience

  2. 10 years’ experience leading in any combination of strategy, product development, large complex implementations, and operations in banking, FinTech related functions.

  3. Track record of successfully implementing and managing large scale, cross functional programs

  4. Proven ability to act as leader between product, operations and technical groups and first and second line

  5. Exceptional analytical, critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills

  6. Strong communication skills – written, verbal and interpersonal.

  7. Demonstrated ability to successfully drive transformational change.

  8. Ability to engage and manage senior stakeholders both inside and outside of the organization.

  9. Performance in a wide array of functional roles with both direct and indirect management responsibilities

  10. Strong leadership, organizational, and planning skills

  11. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Visio, Power Point, Excel, and Word

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in both Consumer and Wholesale banking and holistic banking, products, services, operations, finance and systems.
