Position description
Full time, based in London or New York, Washington DC or California or Amsterdam.
London, United Kingdom, £61,069 – £63,588 gross per annum (depending on skills and experience) + Benefits. ARTICLE 19 is a flexible employer and encourages a hybrid working environment. The frequency of time in attending the office and working from home is to be agreed with the successful candidate.
New York, Washington DC, or California, United States, $97,344 – $110,000 gross per annum, (depending on skills and experience) + Benefits. ARTICLE 19 is a flexible employer and this is a home based role.
Amsterdam, The Netherlands €70,000 – €90,000 gross per annum, (depending on skills and experience) + Benefits. ARTICLE 19 is a flexible employer and encourages a hybrid working environment. The frequency of time in attending the office and working from home is to be agreed with the successful candidate.

Team Digital and what you’ll be working on
You will join a team of kind and professional colleagues with a grit and growth mind-set united with the mission to break power structures in technology, where collaboration is a key value that underpins how we operate.
Team Digital have very ambitious plans for 2024-2025, we will:
- Drive human rights considerations in the design, development, standardisation, and deployment of Internet infrastructure technologies
- Intervene in key policy windows in global, regional, and national levels
- Communicate why and how Internet infrastructure facilitates or impedes human rights online
This is a snapshot of the exciting plans that we’d like you to be part of.
What you will be doing day to day
You will operate as both a manager to support a team to deliver a ground breaking program, and a point person to drive the organisation’s focus on human rights and technology. You will also:
- Provide programmatic and general support to a motivated and remote team
- Strengthen general operations and sustainability for the team
- Facilitate and develop programmatic strategy for both the team and the wider organisation, including regional offices.
What you will bring to the role
- Strong people-management skills
- Operate in a fast-paced, global and changing human rights and technology landscape
- Strong knowledge and communication skills about highly complex and technical issues
- A strong solution focus, ability to quickly identify problems and drive appropriate solutions
