CLEPA (European Association of Automotive Suppliers) is a dynamic and influential association dedicated to representing the interests of the automotive supply industry. Based in Brussels, we actively engage with policymakers, stakeholders, and the public to shape policies that foster innovation, sustainability, and growth within the automotive supply sector.
CLEPA represents 120 international automotive suppliers and, via 12 national associations, over 3,000 companies supplying state-of-the-art components and innovative technology for safe, smart and sustainable mobility. The industry invests over €30 billion yearly in research and development. Automotive suppliers directly employ about 1.7 million people in Europe.
The European automotive supply industry is a global technology leader, which is driven by strong investment in R&D of more than 22 billion Euros yearly. European automotive suppliers are world leaders in automotive technology for safe, sustainable and smart mobility.
On the eve of a new European legislature, CLEPA stands united to speak with one voice. The message is to, together, deliver on the twin transition towards sustainable and digital mobility.
The Role
CLEPA is looking to hire an inspired Head of Government Affairs for CLEPA to work at their Brussels headquarters. The Head of Government Affairs will be a trusted advisor and key support to the Secretary General, helping CLEPA deliver its core mission and vision.
As a member of the leadership team, the new Head of Government Affairs will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing the association’s advocacy efforts in Brussels. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective lobbying strategies, contributing to the setting of the industry agenda, and managing a dedicated team of two professionals. Working closely with the Secretary General, you will be instrumental in achieving our political objectives.
These objectives sit in a broad agenda, working towards smarter, safer and more sustainable mobility whilst supporting an ambitious but flexible regulatory framework in Europe. A holistic approach is needed so that the industry can reach its goals faster and more efficiently. The new Head of Government Affairs will spearhead the actions geared at stimulating innovation and also reducing the regulatory and bureaucratic burden. She/he will foster an environment that allows the European industry play to its strengths, whilst ensuring the necessary public support in delivering the transition.
