Job Description:Grade UE09 – £61,198 – £75,498 per annumCollege of Science & Engineering – School of Biological SciencesFull-time – 35 hours per weekFixed Term for five yearsWe are looking for an exceptional individual to manage all aspect of daily operations for the University’s Mission Hub for Engineered Control Systems for Advanced Therapeutics. The successful candidate will play a significant role in establishing and running the Mission Hub, an innovative development offering the potential to revolutionise healthcare.This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.The Opportunity:The post holder will work closely with the academic Director to achieve the hub’s research, innovation and translational objectives and outputs. This role will assume responsibility for all aspects of daily operations, including budget management, reporting, stakeholder management and translational activities.Your skills and attributes for success:
- Experience of providing managerial and administrative support to multi-partner and international programmes
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and proactively
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build and develop effective working relationships
- Experience of large budget management
- Knowledge of the academic funding environment in the UK
