The Role:

 

Oxfam Great Britain is looking for a Head of the Supply Centre.

They will lead the operations and development of the Oxfam Supply Centre (OSC) in line with Oxfam’s strategic and cultural change objectives. The OSC supports the development and dissemination of specifications for mostly water and sanitation related equipment for use in Humanitarian response and it ensures the timely and efficient availability of such equipment to Humanitarian programs for the Oxfam Confederation, its Partners and the wider sector a/o through global procurement, warehousing, and international transport services

We’re looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam’s mission to end poverty and is personally aligned to our feminist principles and values of empowerment, accountability and inclusion in all you do.

 

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have:

 

  • Experience in developing logistics and supply related strategies and plans and their implementation at operational level. Preferably gained working within a major humanitarian NGO. Proven strategic planning, implementation and organizational skills.
  • Experience of managing supply and logistics services responding to demands commensurate with that generated by Oxfam’s £200 million/ year Humanitarian Programme
  • People management & interpersonal skills (role model in motivating, developing and supporting others), including performance and change management.
  • Experience in developing and applying customer-retention and marketing strategies.
