  • You lead the R&D magnet department within a global agile Magnetic Resonance Imaging product development process in the (pre-) development and design of superconducting magnets, from concepts to production transfer
  • You develop and implement the R&D strategic magnet roadmap in line with the overall MR business strategy
  • You ensure that all product development activities comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • You cultivate and build a high-performing R&D team, attracting and retaining top talent in superconducting magnet technology
  • You foster a culture of collaboration with international cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and procurement to ensure seamless product integration and market success
  • You encourage knowledge sharing and technical exchange within the R&D teams across the global organization
  • You collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and academic institutions to drive innovation and maintain Siemens Healthineers’ leadership in the MR market

To find out more about the specific business, have a look atYour qualifications and experience:

  • You hold a PhD or Master’s degree in Physics, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
  • You are ideally specialized in superconducting magnets or other related technologies
  • You have a minimum of 10 years of experience in R&D, with at least 5 years in a leadership role specializing on superconducting magnets or similar technologies
  • You possess a proven track record of managing the complete product lifecycle in a regulated industry, preferably in medical devices
  • You are familiar with product development methodologies and regulatory compliance
