This candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion, and will be expected to embrace and enhance our SEND provisions and initiatives, including our nurture units. The new Head of School will be a seasoned senior leader with robust academic expertise, a clear vision, and the ambition to guide our school through its next exciting phase of development.You will thrive in this role if you:

• Are driven to redefine education for all learners but in particular SEND and SEMH learners.
• Are passionate about equipping all learners with the skills and confidence to succeed socially, emotionally and academically.
• Value restorative practices and trauma-informed education and the importance of nurturing both learners and staff.
• Want to lead dynamically, inspire a team, and make a meaningful impact.

What are we looking for?

• Have experience in leadership across the primary phase in mainstream and specialist SEN provisions.
• Demonstrate moral leadership and people management skills with the ability to further develop the leadership team.
• Demonstrate the resilience, experience and creativity to build on our improving standards of teaching, through continuous school improvement.
• Value every child and strive to ensure that both pupils and staff have high aspirations for achievement.
• Care for and want to nurture the development and well-being of children and staff in their school.
• Be a positive role model, with the ability to motivate children, staff and the wider community, inspiring all to reach their full potential.
• Facilitate and inspire the continuation of a vibrant, stimulating and memorable curriculum whilst continuing to maintain high expectations of achievement for all pupils.
• Want to be an active and leading member of the Aspire Learning Federation
