Hobson Prior is seeking a Head of Statistical Consulting to support a global operations team in all aspects of statistical consultancy. This role will provide scientifically rigorous statistical consultancy, input, and advice into clinical study designs, types of analysis, and submission activities. The successful candidate will also be instrumental in the future growth plans of the statistical group.Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.Key Responsibilities

• Support and work closely with the global operations team in all aspects of statistical consultancy.
• Provide scientifically rigorous statistical consultancy, input, and advice into clinical study designs, types of analysis, and submission activities.
• Advise on the best randomisation methodology to use for the desired outcome of the project.
• Lead and contribute to the development and implementation of statistical strategies in early and late-stage clinical development.
• Lead the implementation of innovative statistical thinking and methods to help drive enhanced drug development approaches/pathways.
• Act as the primary point of contact to manage Statistical Freelance Consultants including contracts, budgets, and quality oversight, as required.
• Provide appropriate and competitive budgets and timelines for statistical activities to support business development in preparing proposals attending BD meetings.
• Develop and implement SOP’s within the group to ensure good scientific practices are followed and standards met.
• Be instrumental in the future growth plans of the statistical group.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Statistics/Biostatistics or a related field.
• Experience in a consultancy/CRO environment.
• Experience in end-to-end statistical activities, including study designs and submission activities.
• Experience in providing input to, or developing SOPs.
• Bid defence/business development experience would be seen as a benefit to possess.
