We are recruiting for a head pig stockperson for a unit in North Yorkshire (DL10).The chosen candidate must be confident in the farrowing and service departments and capable of taking responsibility for the overall care and welfare of the stock under their management.The farm is a large, modern, tidy and well-maintained breeding-to-wean farm. It incorporates some of the most recently developed high-welfare building designs to help drive their continued goal of being at the forefront of welfare improvements and pig performance.Candidate specifications:
- Good ability to maintain high welfare standards with a continued focus on improvements
- Self-motivated to achieve continuous performance gains
- Enjoy working as part of a dedicated team and willing to take responsibility for individual departments
- Help implement system changes which will result in positive improvements for both the stock and the staff on the farm
Salary: £40,000-£50,000 (DOE)Plus:
