SE Health is looking to hire HCA’s to work in Edmonton and the surrounding area. SE Health is hiring on behalf of Care at Home by ExquisiCare and currently seeking casual Health Care Aide’s for all shifts and hours (Days, Evenings, and Night shifts) throughout the Edmonton area.Care at Home by ExquisiCare matches individuals in need with reliable and compassionate home care, personal care and skilled nursing services.Care at Home is brought to you by ExquisiCare, Edmonton’s most caring and professional boutique provider of residential, supportive living accommodations and care for the elderly.For our Care at Home clients, family is of utmost importance. At Care at Home we strive to provide seniors with the quality of loving, assisted living care that they would receive from a family member, to enhance quality of life and give peace of mind.Position Summary:By working with Care at Home by Exquisicare you will be working with a growing home care agency where you will be valued and treated with respect.Reporting to the Care Manager, the Health Care Aide is responsible for providing caring and compassionate support to seniors who need assistance in caring for themselves. The Health Care Aide will provide this support to clients in their own homes and other community settings. Personal support may include assistance with activities of daily living, housecleaning, laundry, meal preparation, transportation, companionship, medication reminders, recreational activities/outings, personal hygiene, and respite.Skills and Abilities:As a Health Care Aide with Care at Home by Exquisicare, you should possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• A post-secondary education in nursing or have completed a Health Care Aide Certificate program.
• Knowledge of mental wellness practices to provide loving, compassionate and effective care.
• Knowledge of First Aid techniques needed to assess and treat injuries.
• Fluent in the English language, with the ability to comprehend instructions and communicate in a clear and logical manner.
• Ability to actively listen, identify needs, and provide solutions to your client.
• Recognize and understand emotions and handle situations with empathy and compassion
• Build and maintain cooperative and constructive relationships with the client and family

Other qualifications include:

• A valid Class 5 Drivers License and proper vehicle insurance coverage.
• A current criminal record check.
• The physical and mental wellness to handle the daily needs and activities of the client.
• Experience with dementia clients

Caregiver Traits:We are looking for caregivers that embrace the following traits:

• Punctuality – Arriving on time for all client visits while checking out on time to stay on schedule.
• Compassion – Ensure your client is cared for with love and respect by listening to their thoughts and feelings.
• Efficiency – ability to complete household tasks as required within your scheduled time
