The Health Officer (HMIS) role offers an exciting opportunity to support digital health transformation in our Country Programme, focusing on enhancing electronic Health Management Information Systems (HMIS) including the introduction and scaling of Open MRS, Open SRP, DHIS2, eTracker, eVLMIS etc. Reporting to the Health Manager (HSS), you will provide critical technical, operational, and administrative support throughout the programming process. Emphasizing data generation, integration, and visualization, you will play a pivotal role in digitalizing HMIS platforms, including the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI). Responsibilities include conducting situation analyses, and goal setting for digital health transformation and providing technical support and building the capacity of the partners with Digital transformation. The Health Officer reports to the Health Manager for supervision. The Health Officer provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for the Health Programme within the Country Programme, especially for Digital health transformation, more importantly supporting programme with data generation, data integration, data visualization and establishing electronic Health Management Information Systems (eHMIS), from development planning to delivery of results, by preparing, executing, managing, and implementing a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to facilitate programme development, implementation, programme progress monitoring, and evaluating and reporting of results.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…
-A university degree in one of the following fields is required: public health, Information Computer Technology (ICT), pediatric health, family health, health research, global/international health, health policy and/or management, environmental health sciences, biostatistics, socio-medical, health education, epidemiology, or another relevant technical field.
-A minimum of two years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas is required: public health planning and management, Health Information Management Systems, ICT, maternal and neonatal health care, or health emergency/humanitarian preparedness.
-Experience working in digitalization of health system.
-Experience with EPI is an asset.
-Experience working in a developing country is considered as an asset.
-Relevant experience in a UN system agency or organization is considered as an asset.
-Fluency in English and Bangla is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
