Job OverviewWe are recruiting a Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team in Sherwood Park, Alberta. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and other equipment. The ideal candidate must have a CVIP certification, a strong background in heavy truck and trailer repair, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and heavy-duty trucks.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in heavy equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety and functionality. Able to diagnose and repair manufacturers spec.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues efficiently. Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair work.
• Collaborate with team members for effective operations.

Requirements

• Journeyperson certification required
• CVIP certification required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Heavy-Equipment Technician or in a related field
• Valid Driver’s License, preferably Class 1 or 3
• Must meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail and sound judgment skills
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing including marijuana.
• Must be fit-for-duty.
