Robert Half’s client in Tucson, Arizona, is seeking an onsite Helpdesk Technician.

This position will be responsible for:

  • Work as a member of the Helpdesk and system support team to provide user support for workstation, application and network problems; resolving problems in a timely manner

  • Perform maintenance on application accounts; Add, remove and modify accounts as necessary

  • Deployment of application and operating system patches

  • Assist with on-boarding/off-boarding of new users

  • Keep inventory of all equipment, software, and licenses

  • Communicate and troubleshoot with vendors to keep products upgraded and functioning

  • Research new technologies and present recommendations

  • Project duties as needed

A successful candidate will have the following required skills:

  • Strong hands-on skills and aptitude with troubleshooting/maintaining computer hardware, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and peripheral devices including VOIP Phones

  • Ability to deploy, configure, and support operating systems on desktop and mobile

  • Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems and MS Office

  • Sound understanding and working knowledge of networking

  • Strong drive to provide excellent customer service

  • Resourcefulness and quick-thinking nature to troubleshoot new and critical technical issues as they arise

  • Prioritize multiple tasks; effective time-management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, good administrative and organizational skills for documentation

  • Flexibility to work in a changing environment and to adapt to the varying needs

  • Understanding and appreciation for information security within systems and user devices

    Requirements

  • 3+ years in Helpdesk or system support

  • Experience supporting database driven client/server information systems

  • Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent

  • Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps/Desktops

  • Experience supporting Office 365 applications

  • Experience with the Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Intune, Entra ID)

  • Experience with scripting and automation tools

  • Interest in computer security and cybersecurity best practices
