  • Plan and deliver engaging, thought-provoking lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for Key Stage 5
  • Promote a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages debate, analysis, and historical enquiry
  • Use a variety of assessment strategies to monitor progress and inform planning
  • Contribute to the development of the History curriculum and participate in cross-curricular initiatives
  • Support students in GCSE preparation, coursework, and enrichment activities

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience teaching History at secondary level (desirable but not essential)
  • Be a subject specialist with a strong grasp of British and world history, and a passion for storytelling and contextual learning
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management, organisation, and communication skills
  • Be committed to inclusive education, student wellbeing, and safeguarding
  • Be enthusiastic about continuous professional development and team collaboration
