TeacherActive is excited to collaborate with a reputable secondary educational institution located North of Colchester, that are looking for a new addition to theire Hummanties team, mainly, in their history department.The school is committed to providing students with a comprehensive education, emphasizing historical understanding, critical thinking, and a passion for the stories of the past. The succesful teacher must be enthusiastic, engaging and have the ability to care for the needs of their students learning.Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging history lessons that foster historical understanding, critical thinking, and an appreciation for the events that shaped our world.
• Cultivate a supportive learning environment that encourages active participation, historical inquiry, and a lifelong fascination with the stories of the past.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic and personal development in history.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall improvement of the history department.
• Actively participate in historical-related extracurricular activities and contribute to the wider school community.

Qualifications:

• A relevant degree in History, Humanities, or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Demonstrated experience as a History Teacher at the secondary school level.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to stay current with educational best practices.
