As a key member of our team the Housekeeping Manager will support the General Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department. This position helps to maintain the highest standards of service, cleanliness, and ambiance, while contributing to financial management and staff coordination. The Housekeeping Manager works closely with the team to develop and implement standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Strong leadership, attention to detail, and a proactive approach are essential in this fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must also be adaptable, thrive under pressure, and contribute positively to the overall guest experience and team success. The Housekeeping Manager will be highly flexible, with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.Your contributions to the team include:
- Manage the housekeeping team and provide positive leadership.
- Address guests’ inquiries, complaints, concerns, and requests with a high level of hospitality and professionalism.
- Assist the General Manager with various managerial tasks and duties as needed.
- Adhere to budgeted operational and payroll costs
- Support the delivery of excellent guest service, ensuring a memorable experience for all guests.
- Assist in anticipating guests’ needs and work to exceed their expectations, promptly addressing guest feedback to resolve any issues.
- Help maintain the hotel’s ambiance, cleanliness, and appearance throughout service, ensuring consistent quality.
- Support the General Manager in hiring, training, and supervising front-of-house staff.
- Additional tasks and duties as assigned.
A few things we are looking for in a new team member:
- 3+ years of progressive work experience in hospitality as a Housekeeping Manager.
- Previous experience developing and managing a team.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of guests and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required.
- Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills.
- Able to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
- Highly flexible, with strong interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Working knowledge of health and safety standards.
- Working knowledge of laundry operations.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards.
- Experience using industrial cleaning equipment and products.
