– HR & Safety Collaboration: Build strong relationships with leadership teams, providing expert advice on HR and safety matters.
– Recruitment Support: Assist in workforce planning, attract top talent, and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
– Employee Relations: Advise on employee relations, helping to maintain a positive and engaged workforce.
– Performance Management: Oversee performance appraisal processes, ensuring timely and constructive feedback.
– Health & Safety Management: Lead health and safety initiatives, manage safety programs, and ensure compliance with legal standards.
– Incident Management: Conduct investigations, manage WSIB claims, and guide safety committees to improve workplace safety.Qualifications
– Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or a related field, with a focus on occupational health and safety.
– CHRP designation or working towards it.
– Valid driver’s license and access to transportation.
– 3-5 years of HR experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
– 3-5 years of health and safety experience in a similar setting.
– Strong understanding of labour laws, employment standards, and safety regulations.
– Proven skills in training, performance management, and employee relations.Summary
