We are hiring an HR Coordinator for our Downtown Vancouver client. In a creative environment, you’ll be joining a team focused on moving projects forward, solving problems and delivering an amazing final product.ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The ideal HR Coordinator will have 1–3 years of experience in an HR Administrator/Coordinator or Assistant role. Prior experience in HR is required. Hands-on experience with recruitment, employee files, benefits administration and overall knowledge of employment standards is required. Degree or Diploma in HR if required, pursuing a CPHR designation is desired. This role will allow you to work on all aspects of the HR portfolio. Special project support for employee focused programs and implementation are also on the horizon. Someone who can bring ideas to the table and contribute to the development or improvement of HR initiatives is greatly desired.ABOUT THE POSITION
Full cycle recruitment; finalizing job descriptions and job postings, screening applicants and coordinating interviews.
Conducts reference and background checks.
Prepares offer letters and coordinates onboarding.
Manages HRIS and employee files.
Responsible for communication of HR initiatives, programs and changes.
Benefits administration.
Supports internships and co-op programs.
Contributes ideas and knowledge to the development of new initiatives.
Supports special projects.THE REQUIREMENTS
Degree or Diploma in Human Resources.
Pursuing the CPHR designation is desired.
1-3 years of experience in Human Resources.
Experience recruiting, managing the hiring cycle, and employee files is required.
A strong sense for efficient HR systems and operational procedures is desired.
Must be a contributor, keen to share ideas and constantly strive to improve HR service delivery.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills and experience with a HRIS and ATS is required.
The ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities is required.
Must be able to manage highly confidential information.
Excellent communication skills and business writing abilities.
Strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative and share knowledge.COMPENSATION
