Position Overview:
As an experienced HR Generalist, the ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting their employees and ensuring smooth HR operations. This role is pivotal in maintaining a positive work environment and supporting the company’s growth objectives.
Responsibilities:– Manage full-cycle recruitment processes including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.
– Provide guidance and support to employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
– Provide Payroll support as needed.
– Maintain and update employee records ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation.
– Administer benefits programs and assist employees with inquiries related to benefits and compensation.
– Coordinate performance management processes including performance reviews, coaching, and development planning.
– Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution and disciplinary actions.
– Assist in the implementation of HR initiatives and programs to support organizational goals.
– Conduct training sessions on HR-related topics as needed.
– Ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations concerning employment.
– Collaborate with management to execute HR strategies that align with business objectives.Requirements:– Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
– Proven experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
– Solid understanding of HR practices and employment legislation.
– Experience with Ceridian Dayforce or similar payroll processing systems is required.
– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
– Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
– Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
– Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications:– HR certification (e.g., CHRP) is an asset.
– Experience in labor relations or unionized environments a very strong asset.
