HR Internship
part-time (min. 20 hours per week) or full-time (40 hours per week) for up to six months.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an HR Intern. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of human resources operations and processes within a collaborative, and truly international environment.
tasks may include
- Support day-to-day HR operational tasks, including ad-hoc assistance with hiring, onboarding, and offboarding processes, and recruitment activities.
- Prepare and distribute announcements and updates across various channels to keep employees informed about HR-related matters.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation through general office administration tasks such as electronic filing and record-keeping.
- Engage in desk research and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with the preparation of presentations, reports, and statistical analyses on HR-related subjects for internal stakeholders.
our requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data management and record-keeping.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Previous experience or coursework in HR is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to compile, analyze, and present HR data effectively.
appointment terms
The selected candidate should be available to take up the position as soon as possible in 2024. We offer a part-time or full-time contract (hours negotiable) for six months.
Duties will be carried out at the IIASA premises in Laxenburg, Austria (approx. 20 kms south of Vienna).
Please note: This internship does not qualify for relocation allowances.
We offer
Payment based on an annual full-time, gross salary of EUR 17,604 which is exempt from income tax in Austria but subject to deductions for health insurance and/or social security.
