HTLA – ThatchamPrimary SchoolSeptember onwards start.We need YOU! Someone with a keen and genuine interest working with children. Patient to support with learning development and low academic confidence in many of the Thatcham, West Berkshire students.The vacancy for the HTLA – Thatcham is for a progressive Primary School. The increase in students attending the school for September 2024 means the 3 form year teacher need greater support.You as the HTLA will be responsible for taking on additional responsibilities from the KS2 class teachers – from planning lessons, 1:1 sessions with Abingdon pupils and not limited to recording/monitoring student progress (feeding back to parents).

• Temporary contract
• £83 – £90 pay per day (depending on experience it may rise)

HTLA – Thatcham qualifications:

• HTLA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) qualification.
• Minimum 3 years working in a TA/LSA or UK/Irish based similar role.
• Must be confident to take lessons/1:1 sessions to support the class teacher.
• Solid knowledge of UK Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 curriculums.
• Must hold an enhanced DBS or willing to get it prior to the interview stage.
