Visit to learn more..We are looking for an Human Resource Business Partner for the largest automotive marketplace in Canada.The HR Business Partner operates as an HR professional supporting Directors and Senior managers regionally as well as nationallyThe HRBP executes the HR plan that will drive organizational performance in order to achieve Trader’s business plan and strategy. The HRBP is responsible for partnering with the business on all related key HR activities within assigned client groups.Practice areas include Talent management, labour / employee relations, performance management, creation and implementation of HR initiatives and programs, Change Management, Organizational design and development, and Employment Standards.What you’ll do…· Build and foster ongoing strategic relationships to effectively partner with the business and key stakeholders (including Union leaders) to coach and influence business decisions. Participating as an integral member of each client’s management team, providing advice, coaching and leadership on all matters involving human capital impact.· Interpret union-management agreements and represent management in the negotiation and settlement of grievances under established grievance procedures.· Prepare information and testimony to best represent interpretation of contractual/legal issues.· Participate in the collective bargaining process and in the settlement of labour conflicts.· Research and participate in negotiating labour contracts that maximize management’s flexibility and objectives.· Providing leadership and support to all areas of the business both regionally and nationally, affected by major business or organizational change through the planning, creation and implementation of highly effective change management programs.· Various organization initiatives involving recruitment and staffing, driving individual and team performance management, organization design, employee and labour relations but specifically talent attraction /retention, performance management, organization design, employee and labor relations.What you bring to the table…· A degree or diploma in HR management (preferred concentration HR, Org Design & Development or Management), with a minimum of 4 years of HR/LR experience, or an equivalent in education/experience.· Achievement of CHRP designation.· Solid understanding of HR legislation (e.g. Employment Standards, Human Rights, Health & Safety, Privacy, Labour Relations, etc).· Previous experience in a “business partner” operating model.· Previous experience in a management role an asset.Must have experience…· Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication and problem solving skills.· Able to positively influence, negotiate, partner and coach others.· Cooperative approach to working with people outside of the reporting relationship and at all levels of leadership.· Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information with discretion and tact.· Strong influencing/consultative skills.Proven ability to actively support change managementWhat’s in it for you…-We understand that there is life at work and life outside of work.
