In agreement with the supervisor(s), the intern will:

  • Collect, organize, and analyze HR data related to staff providing emergency response globally (using Excel, PowerBI).
  • Generate reports and dashboards to present HR data analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
  • Support the Supply Community Unit in evaluating and improving ongoing projects through data-driven insights.
  • Contribute to the expansion of the current roster mechanism for emergency support, including processing of new applications, validation, and monitoring of existing roster membership.
  • Take part in the processes for deployment of staff to international missions.
  • Offer support to the coordination and administration of stretch assignments (internal assignments). This includes advising and guiding supervisors on the stretch assignment guidelines and recruitment process.
  • Support the Supply Community communication strategy e.g., internal social media engagement, email campaigns, etc.
  • Support the design and introduction of a Supply Community-wide newsletter.
  • Ongoing HRC coordination support for SD Intranet review project.
  • Draft PowerPoint presentations, reports, and Excel databases relevant to the Supply Community.
  • Conduct administrative tasks related to the work of the Supply Community Unit.

 Expected Deliverables:

The future intern is expected to contribute to the following deliverables:

  • Launch support and subsequent monitoring and maintenance of the Supply Community Power BI dashboard.
  • Expansion support to the Supply Emergency and Surge Roster.
  • Preparation of presentations, reports, and databases relevant to the Supply Community
  • Supply Community Newsletter.
  • Communication strategy roll-out, including Intranet page, Viva Engage (corporate social media platform), email campaigns, etc.
  • Monthly update of the intranet page covering staff new arrivals and movements within the Supply Community.

  • Develop business understanding and strategic staffing mechanisms.

  • Internal Communications within UNICEF.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

Education:

  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or Ph.D. degree programme or have graduated within the past two years, in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
