This role is ideal for a strategic HR professional. - Being involved in union relations, including collective agreement interpretation, grievance resolution, and labour negotiations.
- Foster strong relationships between management and union representatives, ensuring compliance with labour laws and collective bargaining agreements.
- Oversee disability claims, return-to-work programs, and accommodation processes in alignment with policies and labor agreements.
- Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies that align with labour laws, collective agreements, and organizational goals.
- Partner with senior leadership to align HR strategy with business objectives, including workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, mediating workplace disputes and promoting a positive, union-friendly work environment.
- Identify and facilitate training on labour relations, leadership development, and compliance-related topics.
- Location: In person – Winnipeg, MB
What You Bring:
- A CPHR designation is considered as an asset
- A post-secondary education in Human Resources with 5+ years of progressive HR experience, and around 2 years in a unionized environment
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with union representatives, employees, and leadership.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws, collective agreements, and employment standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving organization with a hands-on approach.
