With a dedicated team of finance experts and well-established partnerships with merchants, dealerships, and brokers, LendCare bridges the gap between credit score and customers living their best life.We’re seeking a dynamic Human Resources Manager to join our growing HR team. Reporting to the Director, HR, you’ll be instrumental in optimizing talent management programs for our business unit (LendCare). Your role will pivot between strategic consultancy and operational support across various HR domains, including Performance Management, Succession Planning, Employee Relations and Employee Development.What will you be doing?

  • Partner with employees, supervisors and managers in providing day-to-day leadership and solutions to clients’ HR needs
  • Work closely with leadership and other HR functions (recruitment, leadership development & training) to ensure client group is appropriately resourced and prepared to support business objectives
  • Drive the Talent Management agenda, ensuring that internal talent health and development is always at the forefront
  • Coach, counsel and consult with management regarding performance issues, progressive discipline/corrective action up to and including termination
  • Drive continuous process improvement that proactively addresses human resources needs
  • Leverage metrics and in concert with leadership identify gaps within the client group; develop and execute strategies to solve challenges
  • Provide guidance, policy interpretation and direction to staff on issues of employee relations, HR & organizational policies and procedures
  • Manage leaves of absences and facilitate safe return-to-work plans
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation across provinces
  • Oversee the rollout and execution of enterprise HR initiatives
  • In conjunction with HR Management, facilitate the annual performance appraisal process along with strategic succession planning
  • Participate in employee investigations independently or in liaison with Internal Audit team
  • Safeguard the integrity of confidential data
  • Participate in various HR projects as required

What you bring

  • Post secondary education in Human Resources or a related field; CHRP designation is an asset
  • Minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience in a client-focused HRBP or Generalist role
  • Experience supporting a large client base, including senior leadership consultation
  • Strong Knowledge of provincial Employment Standards legislation, Human Rights and Health & Safety legislation
  • Broad experience in policy and legislation interpretation, customer service, problem solving and conflict resolution
  • Experience in HR programs and/or project management
  • Ability to analyze HR data, identify trend and present actionable HR plans
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail to manage work, competing deadlines and sensitive projects
  • Demonstrated discretion, confidentiality, sound judgment and sensitivity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
  • Demonstrated WSIB and/or JHSC experience is a plus
