Pakistan was the sixth country in the world to sign and ratify the Convention on the Rights of the Child, less than one year after it was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1989. However, children and adolescents living in Pakistan still face acute challenges.
UNICEF supports the Government of Pakistan to accelerate progress for children, work to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and help children realize their rights under the Convention on the Rights of Children. This will be made through, among other things, strong partnerships with provincial authorities, teachers and health professionals, frontline workers and social mobilisers, communities and families, and of course the children and adolescents themselves.

HR specialists at the NOC level is considered as a seasoned professional that is responsible for executing broad range of HR services. Such responsibility is to be carried out independently, with the primary focus of the managerial oversight on the position being to ensure that results are delivered in accordance with the vision set forward by the leadership of the division. As a result, staff on these positions require an in-depth understanding of HR function and how it relates to supporting the organization’s business objectives.
The HR Specialist, within their area of responsibility, is accountable for business partnering that enhance the capacity of their clients to deliver on their business goals and objectives. In doing so, the incumbent demonstrates the ability to anticipate HR-related needs and develop subsequent plans and solutions that align HR management with business objectives.

Minimum requirements:
• Education: An Advanced University Degree in human resource management, business management, international relations, psychology or another related field is required.
• Work Experience: Five years of increasingly responsible professional experience in human resource management in an international organization and/or large corporation is required.

Extensive experience in Business Partnering – to bridge the gap between our various sections, fostering collaboration, and strategic alignment. This role will involve more strategic decision-making and leadership responsibilities. This includes key liaison between our strategic goals and the day-to-day operations of our teams. By understanding the big picture, the incumbent can ensure that all projects, initiatives, and decisions are in line with our long-term objectives, which require a broader understanding of our business objectives and the ability to drive results at a higher level.
• Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required.

• Developing country work experience and/or familiarity with emergency.
