Responsibilities
The Humanitarian Principles Coordinator reports to the Senior Team Leader, Protection and Neutrality, and is responsible for performing the following duties: 1. Monitoring the progress of the Humanitarian Principles project, including analysis on the progress of activities, budget (in coordination with the Finance and Administrative officer) and results, identifying risks, challenges and gaps, and making recommendations for remedial action. Providing inputs on humanitarian principles related project proposals and planning and evaluation documents. 2. Supporting, conducting and follow up of integrated installation assessments: Developing, managing and ensuring implementation of the WBFO work plan for the quarterly integrated assessments of all West Bank UNRWA installations to ensure quality and timely completion. Conducting assessment visits to all UNRWA installation in the WBFO at least once per quarter to ensure coherence across installations assessments. Coordinating a timely and effective follow up of all issues identified during the integrated checks including suggesting innovative solutions across programmes; organizing follow-up meetings with Chief Area Officers, Heads of Programmes and other staff as appropriate. 3. Database: Working with the IT PN officer, the Coordinator is responsible for all follow-up to ensure the accuracy of data and relevant information from the West Bank field in the UNRWA-wide database. Providing inputs on further developing the database and related applications for field use. Ensuring access to information products and data on humanitarian principles for relevant protection and programme staff. 4. Reporting: In coordination with the PN reporting officer, the Coordinator is responsible for reporting on the progress of the Humanitarian principles project including organizing data and information in a clear and logical manner. Coordinator drafts WBFO inputs for relevant internal and external reporting, including talking points for presentations and briefings.. Humanitarian Principles Capacity Development/Trainings: Acting as the focal point. 5. Coordination, implementation and reporting on all West Bank field trainings related to humanitarian principles. This includes training new staff on humanitarian principles, and training related to conducting the integrated assessments of installations, including installation self-assessments. Producing training materials to be used in the context of the West Bank Field Office as appropriate. Providing technical advice to UNRWA senior staff on humanitarian principles, and supporting and providing technical advice to staff conducting the integrated assessments. 6. Communications: Supporting UNRWA internal and external communication on humanitarian principles and integrated assessments; supporting advocacy and visibility initiatives related to humanitarian principles of the Agency. 7. Any other duties as assigned by the line manager.

Education
Masters/Graduate degree in Business or Public Administration, Law, Humanitarian/Development, Humanities or any other related discipline with six years relevant professional experience or BA degree in abovementioned fields with eight years relevant professional experience.

Work Experience
Six years professional relevant experience with at least three in project management (or eight years professional relevant experience with a BA degree) is required. Knowledge and professional experience regarding the humanitarian/protection/human rights situation for Palestinians in the West Bank including East Jerusalem. Prior experience of applying humanitarian principles in humanitarian context is required. Professional experience in advising and reporting to senior management on projects or other related tasks is required. Excellent knowledge and experience in use of standard computer applications including Excel, Microsoft Office, Power BI and other related applications is required. -Please confirm if you live/ reside in West Bank or Jerusalem?
