Justteachers is delighted to present an exciting opportunity to join an SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) provision in Oldham on a temp-to-perm basis, starting in September.Position: Humanities Teacher
Location: Oldham

Contract Type: Temp-to-PermAbout the School: This SEMH provision caters to 48 students between KS3 and KS4. The school is dedicated to re-engaging students who have struggled in mainstream education by offering a broad curriculum focused on GCSE-level outcomes. The mission is to maximise student potential, prepare them for adult life, and help them become positive, productive citizens. Student goals are personalised to include both academic and SEMH outcomes aimed at post-16 success. Behaviour is closely monitored on a lesson-by-lesson basis with a reward system to promote achievement and celebrate successes.Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective Humanities lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
• Develop and implement personalised learning plans that address both academic and SEMH outcomes.
• Use a reward system to promote positive behaviour and celebrate student achievements.
• Re-engage students who have struggled in mainstream education and help them achieve their full potential.
• Additional teaching in Food and Nutrition is highly advantageous, though experience in other subjects will also be considered.
• Must be comfortable and confident with challenging behaviour

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Relevant experience in an SEMH setting is essential.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students with diverse and complex needs.
• Commitment to the school’s mission of preparing students for success in adult life.
