JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
As Consultant, led by the Section Head and Project Managers, the Nuclear Programme Developer develops and maintains the digital tools of the section and the databases related to countries embarking on nuclear power programmes, managing, collecting, and disseminating information on new nuclear programmes. In addition, he/she assists Member States in their efforts to build national nuclear infrastructure and provides technical assistance, especially as regards infrastructure building.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Improve the SharePoint sites and other tools and databases implemented by the section;
- Develop new digital tools and/or information management systems to support the IAEA’s activities with countries introducing nuclear using innovative approaches;
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders through the maintenance of the websites and tools, fact sheets and informational materials and support the use of information technologies to facilitate networking;
- Develop user guidelines and train designated NIDS staff on the use of the digital tools:
- The expert will deliver the user guidelines two months before the end of the contract;
- Develop a maintenance process and train NIDS staff on maintenance of the digital tools:
- The expert will deliver the maintenance process document before the end of the contract;
- Provide technical advice to Technical Officers in developing action plans and plan, organize and participate in seminars, workshops, expert missions and training courses on an ad-hoc basis;
- Submit to NIDS management a quarterly status report.

Qualifications and Experience
- University degree in engineering, information technology or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, information analysis and reporting;
- Experience in the development and administration of SharePoint sites and/or databases;
- Experience of working in a national/international nuclear organization or institute desirable;
- Experience in managing or coordinating international activities or projects;
- Excellent oral and written command of English. Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.
