Your Role and Responsibilities
The Front End Developer will primarily be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining client-side applications, but may also assist with server-side tasks as needed. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Angular and TypeScript, as well as experience with RxJS and web frameworks. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a deep understanding of software development best practices, and a passion for building scalable and efficient systems.
Design and implement robust, secure, and maintainable client-side applications using Angular, Javascript, and Typescript.
Develop and maintain APIs for data access and communication between front-end and back-end components.
Write automated tests to ensure the quality, reliability, and robustness of the application.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in front-end development.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers on the team.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Over 5 years of professional experience as a Front-End Developer, with at least 4 years specializing in Angular, TypeScript, and RxJS.
Proficiency with the IBM Carbon Design System.
Strong understanding of software development best practices, including version control (e.g., Git), code review, and testing.
Excellent problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, and a passion for learning new technologies.
Experience with Agile development methodologies.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Proficiency with REST and GraphQL.
Experience with Java and IBM DB2.
Familiarity with CIO Cirrus hybrid cloud environments.
Some experience in back-end development.
Ability to collaborate effectively and respectfully in a multicultural team environment.
Ability to work independently and proactively.
Self-starter with a quick aptitude for learning new technologies, enthusiastic about teaching and sharing knowledge, and capable of multitasking.
Genuine interest in resolving customer issues and ensuring software quality.
Fluent in English, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
