UWE Bristol’s Centre For Print Research (CFPR) has a fantastic internship  opportunity to work with printmakers and authors preparing articles for submission to our IMPACT online journal .

CFPR sits within the School of Art and Design at UWE Bristol. As a collective of disciplines, our approach is to be future-focused, building on design. Whether it is to persuade, promote, or inform, we aim to inspire by delivering a radical, innovative research and educational experience that responds to societal concerns and changes people’s lives.

IMPACT is an online journal that contributes to the academic discourse of printmaking. It is open access and open to submit a range of articles on printmaking. The journal is an extension to our IMPACT international multidisciplinary printmaking conferences, the most recent hosted at UWE Bristol in 2022.

You will be working with authors and assisting them to finalise their articles in preparation for submission to the online IMPACT journal. Therefore, the ability to write clearly and authentically while maintaining the author’s voice will be essential. You will have a good knowledge of proofreading, editing and printmaking terms.

You will ideally have experience working with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, mark-up in Acrobat, using online platforms and websites. You will be capable of independent working and able to engage with project teams within the university and beyond. You will be a current UK undergraduate or masters student or have recently graduated and looking to build a portfolio of skills over 8 weeks and learn from established experts.
