We build solid relationships with research communities to ensure we offer exciting, interesting, and thought-provoking contentAbout the RoleAs an In-House Senior Editor, you will oversee the creation and publication of original content. You will take ownership for overseeing submissions and quality peer reviews to ensure we publish high-quality content. You will build global relationships with people and institutes in the medical and research.ResponsibilitiesArranging peer review and commissioning contentScanning medical literature and news to keep up-to-date with developmentsAttending conferences and academic meetings, along with laboratory and institutional visitsWriting editorials, commissioning reviews and commentaries and publishing correspondence to build the journal’s profile among the communities we serveSubediting material from all sections of our journal to improve clarity of expression and to conform to journal styleSuggesting and helping to develop new initiatives for future developments and enhancements to our journalRequirementsHave a Medical degree with clinical experience or PhD in related field with postdoctoral experienceDemonstrate great knowledge of biological and medical sciencesHave an exceptional command of the English language and the ability to write in an engaging and interesting mannerBe able to communicate and negotiate constructively with members of the medical profession, the media and colleaguesHave proficiency with IT systems including MS OfficeEnjoy collaborating with teams to deliver successful projects and initiatives on-timeHave a natural ability to engage, influence and build relationships with stakeholders, teams and our communityBe able to travel to internationally for meetings and conferencesWork in a way that works for youWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
