Full-Time Learning Support Assistant (LSA)Location: Yateley, Independent SchoolPosition: Full-Time Learning Support Assistant (1:1 Basis)

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM – 1:30 PMSalary: Competitive – £15,500-£16,000 (pro rata figure)About the school:

The school are looking for a compassionate and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. In this role, you will provide one-to-one support to students with SEN across both primary and secondary ages. You will work closely with teachers to help create an inclusive learning environment and support students in reaching their full potential.Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer one-to-one support to students with SEN, assisting with their academic work and personal development.
  • Collaborate with teachers to implement and monitor personalized learning plans and strategies.
  • Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere in which students feel valued and encouraged.
  • Assist with classroom management and help students develop effective learning habits.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to support student progress and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with SEN, is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of SEN and the ability to tailor support to meet individual needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Patient, empathetic, and proactive attitude towards supporting students.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
