Introduction
SCOPE OF WORK: The Alliance seeks to engage a consultant to provide support for the implementation of the Alliance Climate Strategy. The key objectives are as follows:
- Develop actionable recommendations and implementation pathways for at least 4 Alliance member Governments (from the short-list above) to utilize and expand digital payments infrastructure and more broadly digital financial services to achieve national climate adaptation goals. This requires supporting in-country stakeholder conversations and the organization of a national-level workshop to build consensus on the final recommendations. The output will be the finalized4 four country briefs following the national workshops.
- Build 2-3 partnerships that support Alliance members update of National Adaptation Plans NAPsi and other relevant climate strategies that help to mainstream the role of digital payments and financial services in climate adaptation and resilience building
- Identify at least 2 dissemination opportunities for the research on member, partner platforms and global climate/adaptation focused events
- Support the co-creation of at least one new activity that supports the Alliance Climate strategy and members to action recommendations
Period of assignment/services (if applicable): 6 months
