Job Description:Grade UE05: £27,979 – £32,332 per annum.Administration Services / School Of Biological Sciences / CSEFull time: 35 hours per week.Open-ended: PermanentThis is an exciting opportunity to join the Administration Services of the School of Biological Sciences, playing a critical role in supporting the work of the School leadership.We are currently recruiting an Institute Administrator to provide exemplary professional administrative support to three of our Research Institutes.This post is advertised as full-time (35 hours per week). We are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.The Opportunity:This is a busy and challenging post working at the heart of the School. The role will suit a highly motivated individual with outstanding interpersonal and organisational skills who relishes the opportunity to take on a range of different types of work.As an experienced and well-organised team player, the post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day aspects of academic administrative support providing a significant contribution to enhancing the staff experience throughout the three Institutes within their remit.They will act as a conduit between the senior management of the Institutes and other internal and external stakeholdersThis is an open-ended post.Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Experience in servicing committees and groups, including effective minute taking and systematic preparation and follow-up
  • PA experience with a staffing-related element to the role with the ability to manage multiple diaries.
  • The ability to organise time effectively to manage your own workload and priorities to achieve deadlines
  • Competent oral and written communication skills (to produce reports, correspondence, minutes, agendas, documentation) with experience in the use of IT software e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Accuracy and attention to detail with experience of handling confidential information
