The Centre for Initiatives in Education invites applications from qualified candidates for a confirmation-track appointment in the Enriched Support Program at the rank of Instructor I, beginning July 1, 2024. The candidate will be expected to teach two full credits in First Year Seminars with a focus on a selected topic in the candidate’s field of expertise and/or academic discipline and undertake a program coordinator role.

The Centre for Initiatives in Education (https://carleton.ca/cie), a department in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, facilitates access to university for under-served and at-risk groups. We offer a community of care and academic supports that build learners’ confidence and capacity through evidence-based, student-centred pedagogy and practices. Qualifications
The position requires a Master’s degree or higher, to be completed by the time of the interview. The successful candidate will have demonstrated teaching excellence and established administrative experience relevant to the position.
