Intelligence Analyst (Specialist)

EIA is seeking a skilled intelligence analyst to join our intelligence and investigations unit,
supporting our projects on the illegal wildlife trade (IWT) and other environmental crimes.

Role purpose:

The intelligence analyst will collate, manage and analyse intelligence on organised
transnational environmental crime and illicit financial flows. The analyst will be responsible
for producing a number of different outputs in written form, which may be supported by
diagrams, charts and maps. Outputs are directed to internal and external stakeholders in line
with campaign aims and used to inform investigation priorities and provide insight into
campaign strategies. The intelligence analyst will also be required to provide intelligence
capacity building for partners.

About you:

You will have experience working on investigations in an intelligence capacity, analysing
information to produce outputs. You will be able to work well within a team and be committed to
improving intelligence and investigation capacity within focus countries.

What we offer:

This is a full-time position, on a 12 month fixed term contract (with a possibility of an
extension depending on funding).

You will receive a salary of £33,000 – £36,500 per annum dependent on experience. Benefits
include 25 days holiday with additional days off between Christmas and New Year and additional
days for long service, as well as flexible and hybrid working arrangements and a mental health
and wellbeing support programme.

We investigate and campaign against environmental crime and abuse.

Our undercover investigations expose transnational wildlife crime, with a focus on elephants
and tigers, and forest crimes such as illegal logging and deforestation for cash crops like
palm oil. We work to safeguard global marine ecosystems by addressing the threats posed by
plastic pollution, bycatch and commercial exploitation of whales, dolphins and porpoises.
Finally, we reduce the impact of climate change by campaigning to eliminate powerful
refrigerant greenhouse gases, exposing related illicit trade and improving energy efficiency in
the cooling sector.

Location: Islington, London

Contract: Fixed Term Contract – Full time

Salary: £33,000 – £36,500 per annum (pro rata)

Benefits: Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holiday and days off between Xmas and New Year
(pro rata) and an additional day off per year up to a max of 29 days, mental health and
wellbeing support programme, flexible and hybrid working arrangements, enhanced pension
contributions, free financial guidance
