Role Overview
- Lead our new website development project in order to strengthen the digital web presence of Medair
- Engage with supporters with the ultimate goal of turning website visitors into supporters (Pray, give, go)
- Develop and drive online donations
- Regularly track and suggest improvements for website performance and online donations
- Manage website and interaction with other key stakeholders
Project Overview
Medair Global Support Office (GSO) provides operational guidance for country programmes, along with both technical and compassionate support for our relief workers. Within our headquarters and affiliate offices, we are also responsible for promoting the work of Medair to the world, to raise and manage the funds needed to run our life-saving and sustaining programmes, and to recruit international and GSO staff. The Channel / Marketing team focuses on raising awareness of Medair’s work and the humanitarian needs of the people we serve through digital platforms, media, advertisement and events. It supports the Engagement department (EN) by increasing the levels of awareness and engagement of people who hear about Medair, providing dynamic and accessible platforms for them to show their interest and to develop their connection with us.

Key Activity Areas
Website & digital marketing development and management
- Collaborate with relevant external suppliers, internal stakeholders and affiliate offices to ensure providing a global website that aligns target audiences, key success metrics, and strategic topics with brand strategy and meets the organization’s standards
- Leverage insights & analytics to build a more tailored approach
- Drive traffic to Medair pages and generate interest in Medair’s mission
- Develop, manage and implement link building strategies and online presence
- Constantly develop, monitor, improve and analyse engaging User Experience (UX) assets of website aligned with the organization’s strategy
- Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade the organization’s website to provide holistic messaging and branding across all touchpoints both off and online
- Troubleshoot and respond to website issues
- Identify and respond to all website and donation security breaches
- Ensure that the website is protected by enabling the appropriate security measures
- Ensure website quality and efficiency by conducting regular A/B testing and audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate information
- Develop and implement SEO strategies
- Update HTML, CSS and JavaScript regularly
- Use Google Analytics, Google AdWords, and other relevant sites
- Ensure full compliance of the website with all laws and regulations
- Ensure mobile-friendly emails and website
- Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and monitor other’s websites
- Provide guidance to affiliate offices with the global website to bring Medair’s brand consistency to global community.
- Develop approaches to grow, improve subscriber base emailing user journey and web traffic metrics (to keep them engaged)
- Regularly track, analyze and report to manager and senior management established KPIs performance and suggested improvements.
- Report on online fundraising (campaigns) growth and ROI.
- Ensure having right SEO approach throughout the website.
- Innovate and present new online marketing approaches.
- Keep abreast of new social media sites, web technologies, and digital marketing trends; implement these new technologies in developing campaigns and update current campaigns to include new information

Qualifications
- University degree in a relevant subject such as Management / Development Studies / Business Administration or in a relevant technical subject.
- Strong working knowledge of English and French (spoken and written).
Relief & Recovery Orientation Course (ROC)
What is the ROC and why is it required?
Experience
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Design (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign)
- Proficiency in webflow
- Proficiency in marketing automation technology including Salesforce and Pardot
- Knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics
- Hands-on experience with HTML and content management systems
- Familiar with online task management tools (Jira, Trello, Teams, etc.)
- Willing to work according to Medair’s values
- Independent and flexible team player, committed to clear communication
- Demonstrate ability to stay ahead of the curve and remain informed on the latest digital trends and best practices
- Strong project management skills
