Field of activity

The Generation Digital project! supports ministries and civil society organizations in 25 African partner countries on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The focus is on strengthening educational actors to promote the digital skills of children and young people. The project offers a demand-driven fund through which applicants can apply for funds. This process is accompanied by technical and financial advice. A key part of the project is the regional exchange between partners to create synergies and scale good initiatives.

Your tasks

• Support in the preparation of primarily virtual learning and exchange formats
• Support in the area of ​​public relations (in German, English, French)
• Maintaining the monitoring and knowledge management system
• Responding to standard queries in French or English
• Support in processing inquiries and applications from African partners
• Daily creation of a short press review on relevant topics from Africa
• Minutes of meetings
• Support in creating presentations

your profile

• Min. Completed basic studies, preferably in the field of education, politics, administration, law, economics, communication or media studies
• Fluent knowledge of German, English and French
• Very good knowledge of MS Office (in addition to Excel, especially Word and PowerPoint)
• Ability to familiarize yourself with complex issues
• Strong social and intercultural skills and high communication skills
• Ideally, knowledge of the topic of “digital transformation in education”
• Ideally, initial knowledge of development cooperation
